About Organic Hulled Yellow Millet

These Organic Millet Yellow Hulled are available in a range of sizes, all packed in Plastic Free packaging. We use plant-based cellulose bags for these products. Cellulose Plastic Free packaging is biodegradable, simply scrunch up to create air pockets and add to your home compost. It will take around 1-2 months to biodegrade. Or it can be added to general waste, it will break down into vegetable matter.

Is Hulled Millet good for you?

Millet is a hypoallergenic (low-allergy) gluten-free grain that is a good source of fibre and offers protection against illnesses. The protein content of millet is on average 10 to 12 percent and is generally superior to wheat, corn and rise in terms of protein content. It's a great source of the minerals phosphorous and magnesium, as well as B vitamins.

I have recently been experimenting with different grains to try to reduce my dependence on wheat and potatoes. I've tried several with varying degrees of success and I think millet has been one of my most successful purchases. I love it in the recipe recommended on the page.
