Apricots are an excellent source of vitamin A, a very good source of vitamin C, and a good source of dietary fibre and potassium.
Apricots contain phytochemicals called carotenoids, compounds that give red, orange and yellow colours to fruits and vegetables and that are correlated with various health benefits (particularly eye health). The powerful antioxidant Lycopene is one of the carotenoids found in apricots.
How does so2 preserve food?
This product contains SO2, which is a preservative used in a wide range of foods, including dried fruits and wines. It prevents oxidation and discolouration and it acts as an antimicrobial, giving dried fruits a longer life and the great looks you need for your recipes.
SO2 is approved by food safety authorities globally and it is not the cause of any specific concerns (people with sulphites allergy can choose our
unsulphured alternative).
